BIO

I’m on a mission from God.

Ever since the first time I saw “The Blues Brothers” movie in 1980 when I was 5 years old I have been hooked!  Not only on the movie itself, but with the thought of having my very own Bluesmobile.  What 5 year old wouldn’t?  I mean the car had a 440 cubic inch cop motor, cop shocks, cop tires, and it was made before catalytic converters so it would run good on regular gas.  Not to mention it was able to jump bridges, drive through malls with ease, and even flip backwards through the air to avoid the Illinois Nazi’s.  I hate Illinois Nazi’s.  The only thing the Bluesmobile couldn’t do was light a cigarette.

Ever since that time long ago I have always wanted to own a Bluesmobile.  For one reason or another (usually time/money/both) the dream alluded me, until September 2016 when I purchased a 1976 Dodge Royal Monaco.

From the moment I brought home the Monaco, I worked feverishly to convert her into a proper Bluesmobile, and continue to make improvements since I don’t believe our project cars are ever truly finished!

The blog started off as a way to showcase the work it took to convert my ’76 Royal Monaco into a ’74 Bluesmobile, and has evolved as time has gone on.

I know what your asking yourselves.  You’re sayin’ Brian you’re done.  You achieved your dream.  You built your Bluesmobile.  What’s next? What’s happening? What you gonna do with it?

Well I am going to take it to places where people want to see it of course! I’ll be taking the Bluesmobile all over the Chicagoland area and the Midwest to conventions, corporate events, festivals, parades, you name it!  If you or someone you know is interested in hiring The Chicago Bluesmobile, don’t hesitate to contact me!

Thanks!

Brian
